Bridge over Raa Creek

Designed for a new high-speed rail link along the west coast of Sweden, the bridge crosses one of a series of valleys forming a recreational greenbelt just outside Helsingborg. Environmental considerations called for a main span of approximately 90 metres across Raa Creek. One of the requirements of the competition was the incorporation of noise screening - this is achieved with a segmented aluminium barrier designed as an integral part of the bridge.
