The Gia Lam New Town Project

Gia Lam New Town Win in Vietnam

Dissing+Weitling architecture has been cultivating a presence in Vietnam through collaborative work with local developers. With GIA LAM NEW TOWN PROJECT, located in a suburb of Hanoi, these ongoing relationships have resulted in the strong win for Dissing+Weilting.

In collaboration with the British engineering firm Buro Happold and the recognized Vietnamese studio Vinaconex, Dissing+Weitling architecture are the lead architects, ensuring Gia Lam becomes a reality.

The win goes hand in hand with Dissing+Weitling’s focus on sustainable architecture and planning at both large and small scales, and is a culmination of years of experience with integrated architectural solutions for visionary sustainable urban development.

The GIA LAM NEW TOWN PROJECT is to be built in several phases, the first of which is already on the boards in Dissing+Weitling’s Copenhagen studios.
In addition to the the GIA LAM NEW TOWN PROJECT master plan, Dissing+Weilitng is currently working on the development of a conference centre/resort in south Vietnam and collaborating on the design of a new high-rise development strategy in Hanoi.
