Renovation of the Copenhagen Central Library
DISSING+WEITLING has been prequalified for the Copenhagen Central Library Renovation Competition.
The Copenhagen Central Library has been housed in Daells Bolighus since 1993, and for many years has looked forward to updating its resources to better meet the needs of its users.
Redevelopment will include opening the library along St. Kannikestræde, an extension of the lobby and the courtyard, and a complete renovation and rethinking of the existing libraries.
The team is a partnership between DISSING + WEITLING architecture and Grontmij | Carl Bro A/S. The competition is set to begin in September 2010.
