New bridges to span Copenhagen's inner harbour

Dissing+Weitling is one of 10 design offices which have been selected to participate in the project competition for the new bridges over Copenhagen’s inner harbour basins.

The bridges will give pedestrians and cyclists a direct connection between Copenhagen’s historic inner city with Nyhavn and the many new colleges and residential areas in the Holmen district. The new bridges are a key element in the ongoing regeneration of the harbour space, and offer a unique possibility for developing new spatial links in the historic centre of Copenhagen.

Dissing+Weitling has designed more than 200 bridges worldwide – Bryggebroen and Aabuen being among the most recent Danish projects.
