D+W on State Visit to Vietnam

In connection with the Danish state visit to Vietnam in November of 2009, Dissing+Weitling was the sole architecture firm among the over 70 businesses in attendance. The purpose of the state visit was to further strengthen the many-sided relations between Denmark and Vietnam. Dissing+Weitling hosted a seminar in collaboration with the Vietnamese studio Vinaconex, presenting current work underway on Gia Lam, a sustainable new town on the outskirts of Hanoi.

Also in attendance at the seminar was HRH Prince Henrik of Denmark, who having spent his first five years in Vietnam, expressed great interest while engaging partner Stig Mikkelsen with questions regarding the project.
