Shanghai - Chongming Link

DISSING+WEITLING architecture was the project architect in the design competition for the 16-kilometre link across the Yangtze River.
The link included two cable-stayed bridges with 500 and 2000-metre main spans. The scheme was awarded the 1st prize in the competition but it was later decided to replace the larger cable stayed bridge with an immersed tunnel.
