Devoteam, Domicilindretning

Devoteam, Interior design of new headquarters

At the end of the harbour basin lies the new headquarters of Devoteam, in a building designed by DISSING+WEITLING architecture. The project came out of a presentation for the tenants, who were enthusiastic about the central location, the open plans and the connection with the water. Devoteam is an IT consulting company with a very outgoing approach to customers. The firm wanted an open building with a high level of interaction between the levels and inviting surroundings for both employees and visitors.

A custom-made layout
Devoteam wanted a company culture with free seating – as ca. 50% of their 200 employees are out of the office or work from home.
Therefore they required a variety of work spaces, some traditionally and others alternatively furnished. It was important to them that their employees should come to the building to work in attractive conditions, and in other forms than those found in a typical office environment.

The building's spaces are formed with great variation in terms of size, height, closure etc. This variation creates a dynamic quality which aligns well with the concept of free seating. Certain areas are carpeted to create a variegated soundscape and to define zones.

Devoteam is a paperless company, which made it possible to dramatically minimize storage space. The desks and "touch-down" furniture are of solid quality and in strict shapes. Other areas are furnished with more organic forms, for contemplation, lounging or teaching. Colours (on walls and fabrics) and variations in the materials (leather, fabric, corian) offer different experiences in each area.

An open welcome
The reception and arrival lounge are in close dialogue with the surroundings, in light materials and with a scandinavian expression. The area is a room within a room – a peaceful zone with views of the dynamic working  spaces.

Dialogue
The large atrium, with views to the office areas, is finished in distinctive colours which reappear in the floors above. Seen from the upper levels, the square coffee tables are characteristic fixed points. High bar tables spread out across the room, creating areas for informal meetings and alternative work spaces for laptop use.
